COME AND SEE

One thing about blogging is you never if anybody will ever read it. I guess it is liking a book. You can write and feel this is the best thing you have ever done and feel you have contributed tremendously to this world, yet nobody seems to ever buy it except for a few who buy it because they are patriotic to you for one reason or the other, maybe even related. Since you are reading this blog, I really hope you get something out of it, above all may you be Blessed. Our main aim is to touch the heart of God, in touching you positively I believe we are touching Him as well.

In three months we will be off to Malawi on a Missions trip. Please pray with us for journey mercies as well as open hearts there. We will be visiting a rather a place that almost seems inconspicuous called, Dedza apparently it is next to Lilongwe. Missions is quite intriguing. God often seems to be concerned with people others never seem to see. We bear testimony to that. The Lord has sent us to places we never imagined existed. Places like Magogo (next to Nkandla in KwaZulu Natal), MNS in eMalahleni, Menongue in Angola, Maleku in Nelspruit, the list goes on and on.

Indeed God does not see things the way we see them. He sees the bigger picture, His heart is with the helpless and the most vulnerable, He broods over them. Searching for Dedza online does not give much hope. One sees dirt roads, places that seem deserted, people that seem helpless, etc. What warms us is that there are people there that God loves so much. We will be leaving everything, to spend Christmas with these people. Lack of finances is not going to be a deterrent, whatever means possible, we are going. Nathanael in John 1:46 asked Philip, "what good can come out of Nazareth?" He never believed that this long awaited Saviour can come out of such a lowly place, all Philip said was, "come and see". Ungezwa ngabethi / o se ke wa kwa bare/ do not hear it from the grapevine, just COME AND SEE. Dedza might not be well known for anything worth writing home about, but it is very much in the heart of the Lord. The outreach to Malawi is open for all.
