Africa

I just love the African continent. For ages we in the Southern tip have been virtually locked out of this beautiful continent, no wonder the devil easy finds a way to use us against our dear brothers and sister. I have a dream of a CUSH institute one day, where we will learn, have a "a re tsebaneng" (Let us know each other), laugh together, pray and cry together. There is a lot about us in the Scripture. Lord! Help us as we unchain our minds.

Isaiah 18

1Alas, oh land of whirring wings
Which lies beyond the rivers of [a](A)Cush,
2Which sends envoys by the sea,
Even in (B)papyrus vessels on the surface of the waters
Go, swift messengers, to a nation (C)tall and smooth,
To a people (D)feared far and wide,
         A powerful and oppressive nation
         Whose land the rivers divide.
3(E)All you inhabitants of the world and dwellers on earth,
As soon as a standard is raised on the mountains, (F)you will see it,
And as soon as the trumpet is blown, you will hear it.
4For thus the LORD has told me,
"I will look from My (G)dwelling place quietly
Like dazzling heat in the (H)sunshine,
Like a cloud of (I)dew in the heat of harvest."
5For (J)before the harvest, as soon as the bud blossoms
And the flower becomes a ripening grape,
Then He will cut off the sprigs with pruning knives
And remove and cut away the spreading branches.
6They will be left together for mountain birds (K)of prey,
         And for the beasts of the earth;
And the birds of prey will spend the summer feeding on them,
And all the beasts of the earth will spend harvest time on them.
7At that time a gift of homage will be brought to the LORD of hosts
From a (L)people tall and smooth,
Even from a people feared far and wide,
         A powerful and oppressive nation,
         Whose land the rivers divide--
To the (M)place of the name of the LORD of hosts, even Mount Zion.

    COME AND SEE

One thing about blogging is you never if anybody will ever read it. I guess it is liking a book. You can write and feel this is the best thing you have ever done and feel you have contributed tremendously to this world, yet nobody seems to ever buy it except for a few who buy it because they are patriotic to you for one reason or the other, maybe even related. Since you are reading this blog, I really hope you get something out of it, above all may you be Blessed. Our main aim is to touch the heart of God, in touching you positively I believe we are touching Him as well.

In three months we will be off to Malawi on a Missions trip. Please pray with us for journey mercies as well as open hearts there. We will be visiting a rather a place that almost seems inconspicuous called, Dedza apparently it is next to Lilongwe. Missions is quite intriguing. God often seems to be concerned with people others never seem to see. We bear testimony to that. The Lord has sent us to places we never imagined existed. Places like Magogo (next to Nkandla in KwaZulu Natal), MNS in eMalahleni, Menongue in Angola, Maleku in Nelspruit, the list goes on and on.

Indeed God does not see things the way we see them. He sees the bigger picture, His heart is with the helpless and the most vulnerable, He broods over them. Searching for Dedza online does not give much hope. One sees dirt roads, places that seem deserted, people that seem helpless, etc. What warms us is that there are people there that God loves so much. We will be leaving everything, to spend Christmas with these people. Lack of finances is not going to be a deterrent, whatever means possible, we are going. Nathanael in John 1:46 asked Philip, "what good can come out of Nazareth?" He never believed that this long awaited Saviour can come out of such a lowly place, all Philip said was, "come and see". Ungezwa ngabethi / o se ke wa kwa bare/ do not hear it from the grapevine, just COME AND SEE. Dedza might not be well known for anything worth writing home about, but it is very much in the heart of the Lord. The outreach to Malawi is open for all.

    Fellowship

It is not always that Christians get an opportunity to come together to share and pray about Missions. God is still in need of people who can feel His heart in reaching those needing the Good News of the Gospel. Botshabelo meets every first Thursday of the month for this purpose, in September we will be meeting on Friday the 04th, for a half night prayer. Come join us if you can and remember us in your prayers. Time 20h00 - 00h00. Venue: 168 Du Plessis street, Danville Pretoria West.

    Angola Outreach

These are some of the pictures of Botshabelo outreach to Angola in 2006. We were hosted at the Operation Mobilisation base in Menongue. We saw the hand of the Lord throughout the trip, while there and on return. What a time of revival

    MNS Project

These are the pictures of the outreach to Witbank (MNS) on the 28th of June 2009. This is a continuing project, focusing on Primary health care; providing shelter, clothes and food for the destitute as well as Spiritual upliftment for the community at large.
